Birthdays, Holidays, and Homecomings

I guess I'll start with what came first. Ethan turned one last month! I can't believe he is already a year old! For his birthday we did cupcakes with hot dogs on them. ( the hot dogs were made of circus peanuts and caramels...not real hot dogs.) They turned out really fun. Ethan is such a sweet boy. He's toddling around the house now, and never wants to stop. Now that he can walk, he thinks he has to do it all the time! He loves to play with the boys and climb on everything. We are so glad he is in our family.

Thanksgiving also came and went. We made turkeys out of apples and marshmallows, the boys loved them. They also loved to eat them. We got to go to My mom's family for Thanksgiving day. It was a long trip down to Provo, but it was so nice. We also were able to go to our friends Eric and Leah's baby blessing while we were down. It was so nice to visit with them and see sweet baby Dane.

Last but not least my sweet little brother Adam just got home from his mission to Hawaii on Friday. It was so great to see him! My favorite part was that all the missionaries from Hawaii came home with a ton of lais? around their necks, and as he gave each of us a hug he gave us each a lai. It was so sweet! I love it when they first come home because of the sweet spirits they bring with them.

Christmas is just around the corner, so hopefully another post will follow soon.

Halloween 2010

We were Mr. Incredible, Elasti-girl, Dash, Jack Jack, and Syndrome. Mine and Brad's masks were kind of Doofy, but it was still fun.

Just had to post really fast about Halloween. It was super fun! We were the Incredibles, and Seth was Syndrome. We did our Trunk or Treat and then went trick or treating around our neighborhood. The boys have worn their costumes for a week straight. It was a fun night all around. We even got Brad to dress up with us.

Summer vacations 2010

Well, we finally got a little vacation time this summer, and boy was it fun. We didn't go too far, but it was far enough. First we went to my Grandma's cabin up by Sundance. The five hour drive was pretty long for all of us. When we were about to Salt Lake, Seth said the funniest thing, Seth:"Mom, it's killing me!" Me: "What's killing you?" ( I thought he was talking about his legs or something that was hurting him) Seth: "The driving, it's killing me!" Even though the drive was long, I think the boys had a nice time. I loved going to the cabin as a kid, so it was super fun to have the boys do some of the things I used to do. We hiked to the falls, played in the water, and just had a nice visit with cousins and family. Here are some pics of the hike.
Ethan all ready for his first hike.
The boys taking a little rest.

At Stewart Falls trying to touch the water
Getting our feet wet, isn't that water fall beautiful?!

I had to add this last picture because quite a few people say that Ethan looks like a cupie(?) doll, and we found one at the cabin and had to take a picture of it. I guess they kinda do look alike. :)

Last weekend was Rodeo Weekend in Preston, so of course we came down for at least on of the days. It was a pretty rainy day, but it was still fun. The boys loved getting the candy from the parade, and afterwards we went to the carnival. The boys loved the rides, in fact Seth loved them so much, he keeps asking to go back. Luckily it's only in town for 3 days or I'd be broke. Here are the boys on a couple of rides.

Here's what Ethan got to do during the carnival, not very fun, but he was a good sport.

I also finally go all the boys' pictures done and back, and I love them! They all turned out so cute! I was surprised since they always seem ornery on picture day.

Last, but certainly not least, I had to post this picture of Brad. Since we've been married his crazy antics have certainly slowed down almost to a halt, but this last weekend he was dared $75 to run, jump and dive off a bridge by his brother Todd. If any of you know Brad you know he will take just about any dare. So, he packed us all in the car and we drove up to Ashton to watch him dive off this (20 foot or so) bridge. I had the boys and the camera, and we all watched him let out his war cry and jump into the freezing water. What a man! The boys thought this was so awesome that when he got out of the water they wanted him to do it again. It was starting to rain, so he didn't, but the boys were so impressed. (So was I) Here he is just about to hit the water!

Calling all superheroes!

Happy 4th Birthday Seth! I can't believe he's four years old! Time flies by when you have kids! We are so grateful for our little Sethers! A few of his favorite things are transformers, the spray park, swimming, and playing with friends. He is my biggest helper around the house. He'll make his bed, clean up his toys, and he really likes to hold and feed Ethan. He is such a great big brother! My favorite thing is when he says "look at Ethan, he is such a cutie!"
For Seth's birthday this year, we decided to do a Super hero party. It turned out SUPER cute! It was kind of like super hero training, so they had to earn all their super hero gear by defeating the super villains (our cousin Brock and his friend), and completing their training. They had to detonate the bombs (pop the balloons) that the villains spilled, complete a training course, and remove the Kryptonite( green glittered rocks) without touching it. They each got a shirt with their super power on it, their power wrist bands, a mask, and a cape. The boys were all so cute! I made all their costumes, so it didn't even end up costing very much. Seth loved it! They each had their own super hero name and power, along with the letter of their name on their cape. I also made a volcano cake for him because that is what he wanted. It turned out pretty good, that's the good thing about volcanos, they're supposed to look messy! :)

We had a super fun 4th of July too! We partied all weekend! Brad and I decided that we're glad the 4th will only be one day next year. On Saturday we spent the afternoon with our good friends Eric and Leah. Their family rented a bouncy house for the whole day, and the boys took full advantage. Even after hours of playing we still had to pull them off when it was getting deflated. Thanx Eric and Leah for a kicking 4th of July party! You guys are so awesome! One of our other favorite days was going to Bear Lake. The boys had an absolute blast playing in the water and sand. It was a little chilly and windy, but isn't it always there? Anyways, we went to the fire works Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights. It was fun, but by Monday we were glad to be done. Here are the boys at Bear Lake. We have just been loving up summer! The kids eat popcicles all day, and we play out side as much as we can. ( because we never know how long summer will last around Idaho) Even Ethan loves the popcicles. I love his little scrunchie face! Here are a few pics of Ethan, just because I love this little boy!

What's been happening....

Well, not a whole lot. We had some awesome summer weather for like a week, then Mother Nature thought it would be super funny to make it winter again. It's been raining and snowing forever. I'm OK with snow, but I don't like to be teased. I already put away the snow clothes and got out our summer ones, so I guess we'll just chill inside in our shorts and watch the snow fall. :)
While it was nice outside we did do a couple fun things. We went to bear world with our neighbors and the boys got to pet a baby bear. It was so cute! I've never seen one up close before. Seth keeps wanting to go back and see the big ones. We'll see...

I did get Lukey's 2 year pics done, and I love them. I'm suprised she even got any smiling, but she ended up catching quite a few. I got a super great idea from my friend. I'm just going to start taking the kids in on their birthdays for their yearly pics, so that way I won't forget. Then sometime throughout the year I'll get our family one done. Here are a couple of my favs. I'm sorry, but he's so handsome! We've also been going for walks and cleaning out the flower beds. We only get to go for one walk a day, other wise I'll be dead. I take the baby in the backpack, and the two boys in the double stroller. Do they even make triple strollers?! Well, if they do, I might be in the market for one.

While it's been cold outside (which has been most of the time) I've decided that I wanted to paint. I've finished the boys room and the baby's room, but I want to do mine and Brads room and the kitchen. If I ever take pictures, or if the boys room is ever clean, I'll post some.

Other than that we pretty much make our own fun. Here are the boys with my headbands on making funny faces. Silly kids! They make me laugh everyday!
Ethan is getting too big too fast! I can't believe he is already almost 6 months. He's starting to roll, and he loves his walker. I love it too. He likes the back pack, and will even fall asleep in it sometimes. He is such a sweetie! Every morning I walk in to get him he's all smiles. He almost sleeps all through the night too. He goes to bed at 7:30, and wakes up at 4:00 to eat, then 6:00 with everyone else.

Easter was way nice too. We missed one Easter egg hunt, but made it to the one at the grocery store. It was pretty cute. They even had the Easter bunny there, and Luke just loved him. I was suprised that no one cried. Even Ethan was good.

Seth is getting so grown up. He helps me all the time, and is so proud when he cleans his room all by himself. So am I. He's almost done with Pre-school, this is our last week. We're both going to miss it. :) I can't believe he's almost 4 years old. :( I love all of them so much! We've been pretty lonely around our house since Brad's work has been picking up. He leaves at about 6:30 a.m. and usually doesn't get home until about 9:30 p.m. I miss him around the house, and so do the boys, but I'm just thankful that he has so much work, and that he's willing to work such long hours to provide for us. He's such a good dad! Love ya hun!
