What's been happening....

Well, not a whole lot. We had some awesome summer weather for like a week, then Mother Nature thought it would be super funny to make it winter again. It's been raining and snowing forever. I'm OK with snow, but I don't like to be teased. I already put away the snow clothes and got out our summer ones, so I guess we'll just chill inside in our shorts and watch the snow fall. :)

While it was nice outside we did do a couple fun things. We went to bear world with our neighbors and the boys got to pet a baby bear. It was so cute! I've never seen one up close before. Seth keeps wanting to go back and see the big ones. We'll see...

I did get Lukey's 2 year pics done, and I love them. I'm suprised she even got any smiling, but she ended up catching quite a few. I got a super great idea from my friend. I'm just going to start taking the kids in on their birthdays for their yearly pics, so that way I won't forget. Then sometime throughout the year I'll get our family one done. Here are a couple of my favs. I'm sorry, but he's so handsome! We've also been going for walks and cleaning out the flower beds. We only get to go for one walk a day, other wise I'll be dead. I take the baby in the backpack, and the two boys in the double stroller. Do they even make triple strollers?! Well, if they do, I might be in the market for one.

While it's been cold outside (which has been most of the time) I've decided that I wanted to paint. I've finished the boys room and the baby's room, but I want to do mine and Brads room and the kitchen. If I ever take pictures, or if the boys room is ever clean, I'll post some.

Other than that we pretty much make our own fun. Here are the boys with my headbands on making funny faces. Silly kids! They make me laugh everyday!

Ethan is getting too big too fast! I can't believe he is already almost 6 months. He's starting to roll, and he loves his walker. I love it too. He likes the back pack, and will even fall asleep in it sometimes. He is such a sweetie! Every morning I walk in to get him he's all smiles. He almost sleeps all through the night too. He goes to bed at 7:30, and wakes up at 4:00 to eat, then 6:00 with everyone else.




Easter was way nice too. We missed one Easter egg hunt, but made it to the one at the grocery store. It was pretty cute. They even had the Easter bunny there, and Luke just loved him. I was suprised that no one cried. Even Ethan was good.

Seth is getting so grown up. He helps me all the time, and is so proud when he cleans his room all by himself. So am I. He's almost done with Pre-school, this is our last week. We're both going to miss it. :) I can't believe he's almost 4 years old. :( I love all of them so much!We've been pretty lonely around our house since Brad's work has been picking up. He leaves at about 6:30 a.m. and usually doesn't get home until about 9:30 p.m. I miss him around the house, and so do the boys, but I'm just thankful that he has so much work, and that he's willing to work such long hours to provide for us. He's such a good dad! Love ya hun!

Happy Bithday Lukey!

Tuesday Feb. 16th was our little Lukey's 2nd birthday. We actually ended up celebrating it the Sunday before so our families could be there. It was a pretty fun day. I made Luke a Cars cake, (not super fancy) but he loved it. His favorite part was licking the frosting off Lightening McQueen, and his Cars hat.

It was so great to have everyone come visit and have cake. The boys birthdays are really for me I think. I get way more excited about it than they do.

Well, Luke is definately 2! He is quite the kid. His new thing is to climb into the smallest places that he can fit, and then call me to get him out. Here's a couple of the places I've had to rescue him from.

Luke has been such a joy in our home. He has been saying the funniest things. One of my favorites is when he does something naughty then looks at me and says,"I did it!!" He's so enthusiastic that I can't get mad. My other favorite is when he says, "I like it!" I'm just glad that there are a few thingsd he actuaaly likes. Sure we have our fighting, ripping and breaking, but we wouldn't change a thing about it. He's the sweetest little boy on his good days and the cutest little boy on his bad ones, and we love him on the good and bad ones. Happy 2nd Birthday Luke!

Christmas 2009

Well, it's almost been a month since Christmas, but I thought I'd catch up on how everything went. I have to say that this year was a little challenging with a new baby and all. I got my shopping done the week of Christmas, which is pretty sad, but I just couldn't make it out very often. Well other than being super busy our Christmas was awesome. We went down to the Nielson's (my mom's family) party the weekend before Christmas. It was in Utah, which was a little far to travel, but it was so worth seeing everyone. We hardly ever get down that far but when we do it is such a party. We stayed at our house for Christmas morning, then went to Brad's parents for lunch, then headed down to Preston for dinner. Busy Day! Then the next day we went to Utah again for My dad's family party, then headed straight home. We were pretty tired, but I love the holidays because we get to see everyone! We even got to talk to Adam which was a miracle all in its self because we were so late getting to Preston. It was so great to hear his voice, and it sounds like he's doing just great!

It was so fun to stay home for Christmas this year. The kids were so cute! On Christmas Eve we made and delivered treats to our neighbors, and by the time they got back it was time for bed so we didn't get to read the Christmas story, but maybe next year. Anyways, before the boys went to bed me and Brad said,"do you know what tomorrow is?" (because we were so excited for Christmas) and Seth excitedly answered, "It's Pre-school!!!" It was so funny, I'm glad he loves school so much.

On Christmas morning The boys woke up early as usual, but they just wanted a drink, so me and Brad got up and took them into the living room. They were so excited when they saw all the presents. Seth kept saying, "Oh me gosh, Oh me gosh!."

Seth loved all his presents. His favorite was his big transformer robot. Seth also got these awesome superman jammies from Grandma Lee Ann. He loved them so much he wore them for like 4 days straight. He's such a poser!

Luke got a big semi truck that you can put little cars in. They got a bunch of clothes from grandma and aunt Michelle, and an awesome Batman cave from Grandma and Grandpa Higley. Brad got me some nice hoodies and running shoes, and I got him some new scriptures. It was such a great day! This is just the funniest picture of Luke so I thought I'd throw it in.


My mom got this tent from a friend, and gave it to us. The boys have been loving it. They always want to "go camping" in the basement.

Jake and his wife Ashlee made the boys the cutest hats! I make them wear them all the time. They didn't know the boys heads were so big, so they had to make a couple new ones. Here they are sporting their new hats.

Last week was also Ethan's blessing. It was so great to have our families together. I love having everyone over. It was such a great day, and Brad gave such a beautiful blessing. He always does, I'm so thankful that he holds and honors his priesthood. It is such a blessing to our family. I'm also glad I can't give blessings, I can't even make it through my testimony without crying.

Well the holidays were great, and our family is doing great too! Sorry my blogs are so choppy, I'm just trying to throw everything in before someone needs me. Actually, now the baby is crying so I guess that's all for now. :)

3 crazy boys

Well, I didn't realize 3 kids could make me feel so busy, yet get nothing done. I feel like I'm constantly doing something and most days we can bearly get ready by 3:00 in the afternoon. Anyways, I wanted to tell our story of the day Ethan came. On Monday Nov. 9th I had a routine check with my OB. I was hoping he would just start me or something, because the last two checks I was a 4 and a 5. So, Brad's mom was watching the kids for me and I was off to my appointment. I sat and waited for probably 30 mins. and was trying to time my contractions ( which were'nt very close). When he came in he checked me he said I was at a 7! He called the hospital and sent me over because I was in labor. I called Brad at work, and ran to the book store to get a book to read, then walked into the hospital. When I told the nurses my name they laughed and said that they thought I was going to be coming in in a wheel chair and screaming. But I was just fine. Anyways, I got my IV and my epidural and chilled out for about 4 hours. Eventually the nurse checked me and said I was at a 10, and that maybe I should call my husband again because she was going to call over the doctor. So, I called Brad and told him and he said he was almost to the hospital. We waited about 1/2 and hour and then our brother-in-law (Scott) came and he and Brad gave me a blessing (just a little added comfort for a stressfull event). Then about 15 mins. later the doctor comes in whips off his jacket and suits up. He asked Brad if he wanted to deliver him, so.....he did. He did an amazing job, well, I think he did. Anyways, I thought that was pretty special. I probably only pushed for 20mins. and the nurse kept saying, "Ok, you can push...OK, now stop because the doctors not here, and I really don't want to deliver a baby today." It was the best delivery yet! I'm just grateful that I didn't have to have a c-section again. Ethan is such a sweet baby, and his brothers adore him. Sometimes I have to remove Luke from kissing Ethan, because he just loves him that much. Seth is really great with him. When Ethan's crying Seth will say,"he wants to see me mom, then he'll be happy." We are so glad that Ethan is a part of our family, he is my little angel.

Three is a little harder, but it's great! We're all getting back into the groove of things which makes it a little easier.

Here are the boys being pirates. I decided to make some little pirate things so we could play something new. Seth liked it and played with me, but Luke tried to pull apart his hook, and wouldn't wear his eye patch. Oh well, can't say I didn't try.Here are all the boys together. That crazy face Luke's pulling shows his true colors. He's a maniac! These are a few of Luke and Seth lovin up the baby. He's never safe from Luke, not even in his swing.

Wow I should've just waited to post one more day, because our new baby boy Ethan came on Monday at 4:45 pm. I'll have to tell the story another time, because I have been getting these huge headaches from the epidural that only go away if I'm laying flat on my back. So, here are some pictures, and as soon as I can be upright for more than a few mins. I'll tell you all about it. :)

Happy Halloween!

Wow! I can't believe what a slacker I am. I guess I'll just start by catching up a little. Everyone is doing great! The boys are getting so big, and so am I... I have about two weeks to go until our new little boy comes, but I'm hoping to get started a little sooner than that.
We had an awesome summer. We didn't really go on any big trips or anything, but we had a blast anyways. We did get to go to the Blackfoot fair with a couple of our friends. It was way fun to see the animals and go on a couple rides. The boys loved the little train! Seth also got this sticker from local news 8, and stuck it on his head. It got stuck in his hair and eye brows, and took a lot of soaking his head in water, and crying to get it off. It actually took a couple days before we got all the sticky stuff all off of him. In September we started doing preschool with a couple kids in the neighborhood, it's been super fun for Seth so far. Each of us moms take turns teaching for a month. We split up the ABC's, numbers, shapes and colors. I took September, I was pretty nervous about teaching 4 or 5 little kids, but it turned out to be really fun. Seth loves going to the other kids houses! It's pretty fun for him to get to play with kids his own age instead of his mom and brother. Here's a picture of the first day of school. Luke also got his first black eye the other day. He gets up so stinking early that it's still dark outside. Anyways, he got up and came into our room, tripped on some clothes and hit the corner of his eye on the bed frame. I didn't even know where he got hit until I got out of bed, and took him into the bathroom, and saw that blood was everywhere. He had a nasty bump and split his eye open. Poor kid!

Well, as for Halloween, we did a couple pretty fun things. We got to go to a pumpkin patch for pre-school, where they also had a little corn/hay maze for the kids. They LOVED it. We also got to pick out a pumpkin and take it home. The boys and I had a super fun time making Halloween decorations. Their favorite was our skeleton the we just drew and cut out of paper. Luke loved to run by it and say "Ooh, creepy".

The boys also loved painting and carving our pumpkins. I decided to let the boys paint theirs, and help me carve the big one. It was so fun! I think their favorite part was digging out the seeds from inside the pumpkin, just because it was so sick. All right, finally, Halloween was a blast. Seth wanted to be a bat, and Luke was a tiger. They had a ton of fun at the trunk or treat, and then we trick or treated to a few neighbors. It was all way fun! The older the boys get, the funner it is because they actually get what's going on, and want to do it. They were pretty bummed when we put our Halloween decorations away. Seth asked for days after Halloween if we could go trick or treating that night. He cracks me up!
